We can make a matching shelf to go underneath for storage or next to.
Each piece is unique as they are made to order from a different handpicked piece of wood, so all markings/ grain will be different.
These are cut to order so any size can be done and width (dependant on choice of timber and availability), please message us with your dimensions for a quote.
We can create them in Walnut/ Elm/ Yew/ Pippy Oak/ Italian Olive/Oak / Sequoia.
The Live Edge will depend on the individual piece of wood. The edge will follow the natural line of the timber, sometimes this can be quite straight and sometimes it can be "waney". It just depends on individual piece of timber. The front edge will be live edge (please see our FAQ's for a definition) and the back edge is straight. The live edge means that the depth could fluctuate by a few cms
Please note that the nature of using wood/timber is that it may come with splits, knots etc. This is part of the character of the piece. The live edge can become slightly raised or become raised, but this can be sorted by a light, quick brush of sand paper.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss anything further, please do not hesitate to contact us prior to ordering

All pieces are treated with Odies oil which ensure your piece is water resistant l.
These may come with historic woodworm/woodboring holes,. All the oaks have also been treated with EVERBUILD Triple action wood treatment for wood boring insects. This protects the wood against re-infestation but also means that it breaks the life cycle, as, if there is any "activity" (new holes, frass etc), insects that may appear will have had to burrow through the treated wood so will die prior to multiplying & completing their life cycle so will not travel far or be able to infest other wood. So if you do see this, please do not panic but if you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. However, as with any exposed timber, we recommend a retreat every year with an oil/wax treatment for protection against moisture & a treatment for protection against wood boring insects.
Very happy with all the work Lisa did on the bespoke bath caddy. Excellent quality and workmanship. Very quick to respond to messages and quick delivery, too. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her!
So pleased with the elm bath caddy! Lisa was very patient and helpful throughout the ordering process, answering my endless questions and accommodating the custom design. Manufacture and delivery were speedy. Many thanks
I love my bath caddy. I wasn’t sure what colour to go for and size so I messaged Lisa and she gave me advice. I even sent her a photo as I wanted to wood to be similar to that on the floor. She was super helpful and my caddy arrived on time and well wrapped. I would definitely order from her again. Thank you xx

My daughter loved the tray as it was their 5th wedding anniversary (wood).
I want something similar to one of your products, can you alter it for me?
Short answer- yes! Any one of our products can be adapted to meet your needs, failing that we can create something complete unique to you. Please don't be afraid to ask, as a lot of our products have grown from a client's idea! Just email us at giftswithacherryontop@gmail.com
Can you add personalised text and/ or messages?
Yes, please chose the personalised option on the drop down menu and please ensure that you message us with the exact text and spelling. Please double check the spelling and grammar as we will copy and paste your wording. Please note the following grammatical rules for use of apostrophes when making a surname plural taken from The Grammarist.com: "Making a last name plural should never involve an apostrophe. The members of the Johnson and Smith families, for instance, are the Johnsons and the Smiths, not the Johnson’s and the Smith’s. Last names ending in s are no different. Most nouns ending in s are pluralized by adding es. This applies to last names as well. The members of the Edwards and Doss families are the Edwardses and the Dosses, not the Edwards’s and the Doss’s."
Do you have any more examples/ photos of your products?

Aftercare for wood items
Not too much aftercare is required. All our products are treated prior to despatch but as with any natural product, aftercare is essential to maintain your piece. We would advise re-treating your item as below:
Bath Caddy: Treated with Tung Oil. Retreat every 6-12 months. We would advise not using any bathroom or surface cleaners on the product. The Tung oil is highly alcohol, food and water stain resistant so anything spilt should come off with a damp cloth. If there are any water marks or stains, these usually can be removed with a light sand and then retreatment of the tung oil.
Platters: Treated with Mineral oil. Retreat every 3-6 months (can be treated with tung oil too)
Prior to despatch, we treat the oaks for any woodboring insect infestation. If you do see any activity on your board, please do not panic, these will die and cause no further problems as they will eat the treated wood. We recommend retreating the wood as you would any exposed timber. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
